Making myself do things! Oh man!

Remember when I had a half-assed food blog? ME NEITHER. So bear with me on my new blogosphereventure where I write about stuff and hopefully feel somewhat productive.

Good for you Xtina! So what will you be writing about?

Okay, first of all, you're not supposed to end a sentence with a preposition. I would know, I graduated with somewhat-passing grades in English.

But...you're the only one writing this...

Oh shit you're right.

Okay, I'm going to attempt to improve my creative writing skills because ever since I graduated college, all I've pretty much done for a year is shove my face full of gummy-worms and beer while watching Veep. Yeah, I also agree that is the #dreamlife, but for an extended amount of time I genuinely thought I had a brain tumor until I realized my brain was melting because I stopped reading and writing. Like, I honestly forgot how to spell. I mean, to be fair though, I never did get an MRI or anything so I may still have a brain tumor. Time will tell I guess.

Anyways, I'm not sure where I want this blog to go, if it's actually to go anywhere in particular, I just wanna get back into honing some vague sense of a literary voice. I'm doin' this all organic-y n such. But I will be doing some food posts, I know that for sure.

Oh, and here's the fun interactive part of my blog: only give me feedback if it is blind love and affection. Unless there's questionable grammar you can point out in a way that doesn't hurt my feelings, I want no other feedback. Isn't that fun?!

Much like a ceremonial ship launching, I will be throwing a bottle of Champagne at my computer to commemorate this new blogventuretime. Or, in a more reasonable vain, I will post this never-before-seen-photo of me completely hammered while dancing at The Silver Dollar in Cody, Wyoming (credit: Moll Reynolds, thanks boo). Why this picture? Because I made out with a real-life cowboy this night which was somewhat exciting, a little sad, but an overall interesting experience that enriched my life in a small way, which is what I hope this blog will become at some point.

Hurray! Exciting! Thanks for reading if you did! Stay tuned for other stuff, maybe a pasta recipe because I did get a pasta maker for Christmas, not to brag or anything.

Homemade Pasta with Chicken and Roasted Tomatoes

Because I'm a spoiled young lass, I got a pasta maker this past Christmas. It's my favorite (and only, really) fancy kitchen tool. Like, if Ina Garten came to my house and ignored the lack of central air and the faint smell of old-ish trash, I think she'd be vaguely impressed with my pasta maker. Anywho, I've been havin' a ball with this machine. It's really easy to use and you feel somewhat impressive when using it. I had friends over for "freshly made pasta" and they were wowed for a whole 10 minutes! Imagine that. So, when I make pasta, I keep it as simple as possible. Which isn't hard cause pasta is inherently simple af anyways... So yep, here's what I use to make pasta (it makes enough for two reasonable people who aren't pasta hogs): -1 cup of flour -1 egg (at room temp) -A pinch of salt -1-2 Tbs room temp water (or more, if need be) Now, I firmly believe you can eat just pasta and live a perfectly happy life. However, if yo...
